We are arriving at a time in our lives when some things matter a whole lot less and some things mean more. I have never craved the outdoors so keenly, felt so comforted by birdsong,
so allergic to concrete 
and overwhelming traffic. So resistant to saying yes when I mean no. 
Two blocks on my street were entered in the Brooklyn Greenest Block competition. 
Sometimes, Often, if when the day is asking too much of me, I reach for facts like this.
