I tried to say I didn't understand;
that the activists had language I knew not, 
the organisers used facilities that I had not,
the campaigners had intel, 
and I did not. Friend,
I almost believed myself!
We claimed we didn't know enough history
to do the right thing. I ignored my intuition. I tried to talk 'fair'.
