In a world that constantly urges us to desire more—more possessions, distractions, noise—I’ve decided to choose less, which has changed everything.

Today, in this post, I’ll be talking about

  • my philosophy on radical minimalism

  • the emotional and spiritual relief of giving good stuff away

Last week, in my post ‘How the Hell I Wrote It,’ I wondered whether you might be interested in me sharing my thoughts on minimalism and how you can love up on yourself by managing your surroundings. I didn’t understand until a few years ago how much visual clutter distressed me to the point of inactivity and that my extra bits and bobs were likely ruining my life. No, I’m not exaggerating - promise! Today, I’d like to discuss how the outer reflects the inner and how I utilise my space as an ultimate comfort/support hideaway for optimum peace of mind.

I make a living writing and run my own long-legged business, aka ME, which includes writing books, mentoring, speaking and talking to people about writing books, mentoring and speaking. I am constantly in a state of awareness about my mental health - how I am faring on the spectrum of quite good to oh dear. I’m always dreaming up new ways to reclaim my peace, sharpen my life skills, and move toward ultimate clarity so I have fewer creative blocks or periods of severe instability. Here's how I hack it.
